Deputies Searching for Suspects in Evansville Home Invasion

Vanderburgh County Sheriff's deputies want you to be on the lookout for the suspects in an early morning home invasion. The home invasion happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Mission Viejo Apartment Complex on the west side. Deputies say the victims saw two white females outside the apartment, when one of them asked for a person by name. As soon as the victims could answer, a masked male suspect barged into the apartment and began pistol-whipping one of the victims. Deputies say that's when a second suspect, also wearing a mask, came in and pointed a gun at the second victim. The attack didn't last long before the suspects ran.
This comes on the heels of a similar assault in Evansville Friday night at Brooklyn Place Apartments on the east side. In that case, a white male pistol-whipped another female victim as she entered her apartment. Evansville Police say the suspect in this case took the victim's purse and ran off. It's not clear if these two cases are connected but they do have their similarities. If you have any information, contact the sheriff's office or Evansville Police.
