North Main Street is losing two businesses, including one that's been there for nearly 50 years.

Davco officials say they're closing their store and consolidating to their Washington Avenue location.  1st Choice Furniture is also shutting down.  But other business owners on North Main hope new stores will fill the void left behind.

"We got the industrial park here.  We got businesses that are moving in over there," says Jeff Ellison of Hickory Pit Stop.  "I just hope more businesses attract to this area.  I think they will."

Some business owners hope events, such as the recent North Main Street Christmas Parade, will continue to attract new shoppers to the area.
