IN General Assembly Makes Movement on Rockport Gasification Plant

People on both sides of the debate concerning the Rockport gasification plant are trying to figure out if today's action in the Indiana General Assembly is a victory for their side.
The Senate Utility Committee amended the bill to say if any part of the lawsuit against the original agreement is successful, the two sides must start from scratch on a new contract.
However, if the courts say there is nothing wrong with the original deal, the 30 year agreement will stand.
