Updated: February 22, 2013
UPDATE:  The Nacher Parkway on the Daviess / Ohio County lines in Kentucky is re-open following a five car pile up near mile marker 55, according to a spokesperson with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A multi-vehicle crash blocking the Nacher Parkway in Daviess County, Kentucky has both northbound and southbound lanes blocked.

Early reports indicate a truck may have lost a load of dirt that turned into mud along an extended section of the parkway. Several vehicles crashed as a result of the mud on the roadway.

A crash reconstruction investigation is being conducted according to Keith Todd from the Kentucky Transporation Cabinet.

Both northbound and southbound lanes are expected to be closed for up to three hours.

There is a detour in place via US 231 between Hartford and Owensboro. This is for both northbound and southbound traffic.
