Sex Offender Sentenced for Not Registering in Owensboro

A judged sentences a convicted sex offender from Owensboro today. 49-year-old Russell Jones received 30 months in prison followed by a five year term of supervised release. Police arrested Jones for public intoxication back in may 2012. That's when they discovered he had been living and working in Owensboro but failed to register with the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry. Jones pleaded guilty to a one count indictment back in November.
