The Indiana House says "yes" to a plan requiring many aid recipients to undergo drug tests. The proposal would only affect people asking for temporary assistance like the aid provided by a township government. Applicants who fail the drug test would still get aid if they go through a rehabilitation program and pass another drug test. Democrat Gail Riecken from Evansville was the only law maker from southwestern Indiana to vote against the idea. The Senate still has to take up the measure.
