Updated: February 27, 2013
Two Henderson County schools will remain under a "modified lockdown" for the remainder of Wednesday, while police investigate a domestic disturbance.

The Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center and East Heights Elementary were both placed on lockdown around 9:30 Wednesday morning.  According to police, the family involved with the domestic disturbance has children which attend both schools.

Parents with children at each school were notified of the situation by automated phone call.

Police say an officer has been stationed at each school, and will remain there until the end of classes on Wednesday.

As we receive more information on the investigation, we will pass it along to you.
