The Owensboro Board of Commissioners is inviting everyone to Moreland Park tomorrow for a special ceremony. City leaders will dedicate ball field number 2 to a young boy, who they say is an inspiration to the community. 11-year-old T-Bird Thornton has been fighting brain cancer since 2009. He's been active in local sports throughout his chemo treatments, and the community wants to show support by dedicating a ball field to him. The official ceremony starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Moreland Park.
