Henderson County Sheriff's Deputies say that's what happened late Sunday night, when they tried to stop 40-year-old Timothy Oliver.
Deputies say when they tried to initiate a traffic stop, Oliver sped away. They say they spotted Oliver again a short time later on Highway 60, but they say he sped away again. Deputies say kept speeding, and when he reached Mound Ridge Road, he lost control of the vehicle and ran away from the scene.
Oliver was captured following a brief foot chase with deputies. He is being held in the Henderson County Detention Center on a long list of charges, including fleeing police and DUI. He was also arrested on several felony warrants for failure to appear, auto theft and receiving stolen property.
