Work hours schedule: Second Shift
Full Time: Yes
Exempt (not eligible for over time):
Non-exempt (eligible for over time): X
Part time __ and Number hours per week __
Brief description of duties & responsibilities:
1. Help maintain all broadcast technology and equipment for the station.
2. Minimizes service interruptions at times of equipment and/or system failure by rapidly identifying and implementing solutions.
3. Sets up and operates equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts.
4. Maintain the IT network, switches, data backups, work stations and printers.
5. Interprets and implements instructions and requests from other station personnel.
6. Communicates with members of the engineering team and other teams to effectively resolve equipment and system issues.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work experience and education required for position:
1. Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a field, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
2. Minimum three years' experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environment.
3. Strong PC/MS Office experience.
4. Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners. Fax machines and other office equipment.
5. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
6. Experience with digital transmitters, microwave equipment, and other broadcast-related equipment..
