The Evansville Police Department wants you to learn more about their officers and how they go about their jobs.

That's why today, the department is launching its first ever virtual ride-along.

The program puts you right in the car with an officer, from the comfort of your living room.  From 3-7p.m., an officer will be tweeting about the various runs he is assigned to in real time.

To get the real time tweets, you have to follow the Virtual EPD Twitter account.
