Patriot Coal is filing for bankruptcy, and union workers are calling
foul. That's because the company's cutting retiree benefits and wants to
pay executives million dollar bonuses. United Mine Workers of America
President Cecil Roberts is questioning the company's $16 million in
reported legal fees as they work to end their bankruptcy. The company is
currently running two mines in western Kentucky, but only a fraction of
the workers there belong to the union.
