Owensboro Parking Changes

Parking is another issue Owensboro officials are tackling. Right now most city streets have a two-hour parking limit. That means people need to leave work and other businesses to feed the meters or move their vehicles. Because the master plan calls to bring more people downtown city leaders say its time to revisit that policy. Keith Free says 110 parking spaces will be taken from two hours to all day parking for starters. City leaders are also considering opening two-way traffic on some of the one-way streets.
