Riverfest: Giving Back to Charities

Riverfest will once again partner with the Arkansas Foodbank to help eliminate hunger in Arkansas. More than half a million Arkansans live in poverty and experience hunger, and Arkansas has the nation's highest rate of hunger and childhood hunger. To help fight poverty and fill the shelves of the Arkansas Foodbank, Riverfest has partnered with Walmart and Coca-Cola to encourage attendees to bring non-perishable items to the festival to be collected and delivered to the Foodbank in 2012. Bring a non-perishable food item to the shuttle pick-up locations and recieve $1.00 off of the $3.00 round-trip fare, or bring your item to the food collection points at Riverfest and receive a coupon for a free Coca-Cola beverage product, compliments of Coca-Cola.
